Institutional use is governed by the applicable written order form and agreement.

1. Agreement to these terms

Individual instructor use is subject to these terms. Institutional use is governed by a written agreement.

2. Accounts and eligibility

Who may create an account, instructor responsibilities for their own sections, and institutional administrator authority.

Students do not create accounts and are not parties to these terms.

3. The instructor free tier

The instructor plan is free and not time-limited. Future plan changes will be communicated before taking effect.

4. Institutional plans and pricing

Order forms define pricing, term length, renewal, support, and deployment scope.

5. Data ownership and export

The institution owns its attendance data. Export rights, format commitments, and what happens to data at termination.

6. Self-hosted deployments

Licensing of the self-hosted software, the split of responsibility for patching and availability, and support boundaries.

7. Acceptable use

Prohibited uses, including any attempt to use the product for surveillance beyond session attendance.

8. Warranties, liability, and indemnity

Institutional agreements define warranties, liability, indemnity, and the allocation of risk.

9. Changes to these terms

How changes are communicated and when they take effect.
